In the UK, we plant as part of the North East Community Forest, a DEFRA funded programme operating to the UK Forestry Standard and independently managed by government backed woodland officers.
Overseas, our projects are verified by Veritree, a B Corp certified platform using GPS tracking, satellite imagery, drone mapping, and blockchain secured records. Our mangrove restoration in Madagascar is reviewed annually by the Madagascar government's Department of Environment.
Carma is a Certified B Corporation. That means our whole business has been independently assessed for social and environmental performance, not just our projects.
We do not sell carbon credits from our tree and kelp products. The impact you fund is yours, and yours alone.
There are plenty of tree planting platforms out there. Here is what makes us different.
Every project is independently evidenced. UK trees are planted within England's government-backed Trees for Climate programme. Overseas restoration is verified via satellite, drone, and blockchain. The evidence is real, located, and always available to you.
For every 1,000 UK trees we plant together, £400 goes directly to land-based skills training for veterans moving into civilian life. Every Carma community planting day employs veterans as nature therapy practitioners. Your trees create more than canopy.
3% of all revenue funds counselling sessions for veterans and local communities through the Standing Tall Foundation. When you plant with us, people feel it too.
